Kenya Church Plant 2019

The Kenya mission trip was successful in every way this year. We are so grateful for all of you who diligently prayed for a fruitful and successful trip. We daily visited schools, prisons, and trading centers where we helped put on evangelistic rallies and programs that were appropriate for the given audience. Our team was responsible for sharing our testimonies and for preaching the gospel. These events were translated into Swahili by area pastors, and East African teams led in praise and worship music. Thousands of Kenyas heard a clear gospel presentation at these events, and many hundreds of them responded by putting their trust in Christ and Christ alone for salvation.

We also paired up with translators and daily walked the trails and met with people to personally deliver the gospel to them. We talked with people in their homes, on the trails and roads, in their businesses, and in their fields. Over five days, 12 of us we able to reach over 500 people in this manner with the help of our translators. God was so good. According to our records, over 400 of them made a first time profession of faith in Jesus Christ. Many of them had heard the basic gospel message, but the thing that so many lacked was a clear understanding of Biblical faith. There is so much confusion on how we are saved.

Ephesians 2:8-9 says:

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,not of works, lest anyone should boast.

When this was clearly explained, we would ask them

Is there anything keeping you from putting your faith in Jesus Christ right now?

Most said no, and were willing to confess with their mouth and believe in their heart that Jesus rose from the dead (Romans 10:9-10).

On Sunday, June 30th, 2019 a new church was dedicated. The first service was such a joy (as you can see in the above video), and knowing that all these new believers have a Bible-teaching church they can walk to is truly amazing. New faith needs to grow, and a local church that teaches God’s Word is where faith grows best. The enemy was truly restrained by immense intercession and the power of God’s hand.

Thank you again for all your faithful prayers and generous support.
