Paul’s concern wasn’t about growing a following. He didn’t care if people tried to stone him or thought he was a fool. What he cared about was that the message of the cross was proclaimed; that people would come to know the power of God to save through the message of the gospel. That’s why he always pointed people back to Jesus.
