When we learn to pray for God’s will to be done first—when we learn to pray “none the less, not my will… but thine be done”—it doesn’t mean that we desire a miracle any less. When we pray this way, it doesn’t mean that we simply don’t have enough faith to pray for a miracle. When we pray this way, it means that we trust God. It means that we trust that He is good, and we trust that His plans are the best.
