We tremble at His word, but not as those who have not been made perfect in love. Perfect love casts out fear. So our trembling is not from worry that we might be judged, but in knowing that apart from Christ, we only have “fearful expectation of coming judgment and fiery indignation.” In the refuge of His perfect forgiveness, may we tremble, all the more rejoicing and clinging to the truth that He loved us first, and will never let us go.
