Like the people of Israel to whom Ezekiel is sent, our sin has also alienated us from God.

But now we are brought near.

And having been brought near by the blood of Christ, we are called to walk worthy of the calling to which we have been called. We are called to be doers of the word, and not hearers only. To cling to Him. To abide in Him. To draw near to Him in full assurance of faith — to remain in Him who gave everything to reconcile us who had alienated ourselves from Him because of our wickedness.
