Israel’s faithlessness to the One who rescued them from Egypt and brought them to the land of milk and honey is expounded on. Instead of loving Him, seeking Him, and serving Him, they quickly forgot all that the Lord had done for them and forsook Him for other gods. Their turning away inexcusable, and unable to be covered or cleansed by their own efforts.
