Paul was actively politicking with the Corinthians, but he did so by drawing attention to a negative image. Because, at the end of the day, what he wanted people to see was the goodness of God, the grace of God, and the reliability of His strength. That reality emboldened him to say, “Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

2 Corinthians 11:30-12:21 – Paulitics, Part 2 – A Negative Image
