God is a God who brings desolations! Every act of judgment we see in Scripture, every desolation, every punishment gives us a foreshadowing of that ultimate Day of reckoning; a Day from which we are only saved if our lives are hidden with Christ in God. Because of Christ and the New Covenant ratified in His blood, we can be still and know that He is God; He will be exalted in the earth!
